Our Statement of Faith

A Summary of our Beliefs is Found in the Apostles' Creed.

I believe in God, the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth.

And in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried. He descended into hell. The third day He rose again from the dead. He ascended into heaven and sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty. From thence He will come to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy Christian Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.

The Bible is Our Only Source and Norm for Faith and Life. We believe that the Bible is God's Word to teach us and lead us, sort of like a training or user's manual. In this way it helps us understand the world around us and our role in it. It also teaches us real objective truth and keeps us from being led astray by the lies and foolishness of this age.

Creator's Praise Ministries is a church start of the Michigan District of the Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod. We seek to represent the true teachings of the Bible and make it receivable to all who seek a consistent and faithful understanding of God's Word. We desire to worship God sincerely and wholeheartedly. We wish to fan into flames the Spirit's fire! As Jesus' disciples we want to become more like Him. We are kingdom oriented. That means we recognize the holy Christian Church and rejoice in the partnership we share in the Gospel. There is one head of the Church. We honor Jesus when we honor every member of His body. We hope that you share our passion for God's Kingdom wherever you gather.

Means of Grace- Ways in which God communicates His love and forgiveness to us.

The Word- God is faithful in all His promises including forgiveness. If He says it. we can believe it. If we believe it, we have it. John 5:24

Baptism- This is a washing of regeneration. In God's Word baptism is referred to as a means by which our sins are washed away and God makes us part of His family. In this baptizing God promises to give us His Holy Spirit. We believe this promise is for everyone including our children and our children's children. Acts 2:38-39

Communion- This is a special meal reserved for God's family, those who have been baptized. We believe that Jesus becomes really present in the bread and wine. In this meal God keeps us together with Himself and His entire Church. Here we proclaim God's work for us and our continued confidence in His forgiveness.
